My Happily-Ever-After

I got an email from a colleague today about a recent poem I wrote for Cyndi it said “I used write like that about my wife, I think I need to again…” among other things, but it was that line that stood out to me the most. It got me thinking about my relationship and how this, unlike all others I’ve been in, is still new, even after two years. Love has not become a chore, caring does not seem like something I ‘have’ to do, my trust, respect, and admiration still grow daily.

So I ask, is this a storybook relationship? Are we really that far outside the norm? And if we are doing something ‘right’ does that imply that so many people are really doing something ‘wrong’?

I am grateful that I have found my happily-ever-after and I hope and pray that all of you can as well.
